Overseas Book Company, Inc, (AOBC) is a special-order service jobber
representing both domestic and international publishers. We have
spent three decades establishing strong relationships with publishers to
provide the procurement services for discounted printed and non-printed
materials to educational, corporate, public, government, and medical libraries
throughout the world. With a database containing over 3.5 million titles, if it
is in print, we can ship it!
In a fast-paced world of high technology, personalized

For your convenience, we now
provide an on-line, secure shopping service for over 3.5 million titles
complete with e-mail order confirmations. An image of the book cover and a
short description is available for most of our books. Our extensive database
provides many different searches to find exactly what you are looking for, and
if you don’t, we provide an on-line request form so our Customer Service
Department can find it for you. Once you have placed your order, you can track
it for shipment information over the Web or communicate via email with your
customer service representative.
When you phone AOBC you will not waste your time listening
to endless options from a fancy voicemail system. During business hours 8:00 AM
– 6:00 PM ET, you will speak directly to a customer service representative that
is familiar with your account and ready to assist you. Although we provide all of the latest
technologies for our customers, we believe it is the human touch that provides
the best service. As we add more technology we are not cutting back on
personnel, but allowing them to become more efficient to better serve you.

Easy Ordering. AOBC can receive your
orders and requests via our Web-site, email, EDI, phone, fax, or snail mail.
Information can be provided to our customers regarding their account status by
receiving email order confirmations and viewing shipment and ordering
information on our Web-site or with a faxed confirmation or phone call.
Save time by having AOBC consolidate your book orders for you.
Twenty book requests to be mailed to 20 different publishers can be merged into
one purchase order to AOBC – foreign or domestic. Let us do the grunt work for
you!
Your Search is Over. There are four different ways to search our extensive
database to locate the publication you are looking for. If you still can’t find
it, contact us via our Web form or call us and we will find it for you.
Flexibility is important to AOBC. We are committed to serving our
customers’ individual needs. There is no minimum requirement on orders. We can
accommodate specific invoicing, shipping, or processing requirements. We can
ship your order to any location. If your organization requires special
arrangements, call our customer service department to customize your account
with us.
Fast Delivery. AOBC ships in-stock publications within 24 hours.
GPO publications will ship within 5 days at no additional charge! Most titles
are shipped within 48-72 hours. Deliveries are always dependent upon direct
availability from the publishers and the GPO warehouse in Washington, D.C.
Discounts are greater because AOBC consolidates daily customer
requests and orders to receive publisher discounts that are passed on to you.
Bulk discounts are available as well.
Buy Now Pay Later. At AOBC we
will not hold up your order awaiting payment. AOBC will pay the publisher for
you. Once an account is established with us you will receive a line of credit
allowing us to immediately place your order. An invoice will be sent following
your shipment payable within 30 days. You may also elect to pay with a credit
card via our secure Web-site or our customer service department.
Returns/Cancellations. Returns of correctly shipped
items are accepted with prior approval for replacement or credit. Any order can
be cancelled without penalty if the order has not shipped from our warehouse or
been prepaid to the publisher.
